La Jolla Valley Loop
Highlights: Gorgeous Mountain/Coastal Views, waterfall (but it was dried up when I went)
Difficulty: Moderate
Trail Condition: Dirt path
Hike Type: Loop
Rating (1 being lowest/5 highest)- 5+++ (one of my top 3 in LA)
Summary: I absolutely looooooved this hike. It is not a beginner hike because roundtrip it is almost 7 miles long and most of it is uphill. Unfortunately, I started the hike a little late in the day so I was unable to complete the whole thing. I hiked to the waterfall which was dried up at the time, but it was still fun to climb to the top of it. The views from this hike are completely breathtaking; I did not want to leave. Majestic mountain vistas and spectacular ocean views, so peaceful just like paradise!
Trailhead: Drive up the coast north on Pacific Coast Highway from Malibu. About 1.5 miles north of Big Sycamore Canyon camp ground is the Ray Miller Trailhead, which is used to access La Jolla Valley.
