Summary: This was a pretty straightforward hike, the beg. was a little smelly (horse poop lines the trail)because you start at the horse ranch. After you break off the dirt path, it turns into a road, so the hiking is not tedious at all. There are beautiful views of Hollywood and Burbank on both sides of you. Try to avoid going in the middle of the day because there isn't any shade and it does get quite hot. When you get to the top, the Hollywood sign is blocked off by a fence and there are several security cameras aimed on it. We also saw 2 cop cars while hiking down, a forewarning to those daredevils thinking they can hop the fence!! It's not a super exciting hike but it's good for beginner hikers and it's pretty cool to see the Hollywood sign up close and personal and from a different angle.
